The Civilian Precision Rifle Started Course is designed for the shooter who is new to the scoped rifle.
If you have a rifle and a scope you haven’t had time to put together, we will show you how to set it up the right way. We will get you sighted in, chronographed, and reaching out to 400-yard targets by the end of the day. In addition, if you have a rifle that is already set up and just haven’t been able to stretch its legs beyond the typical 100-yard range, join us for this 1-day Precision Rifle Starter Course and get some D.O.P.E. for reaching out to 400-yard targets.
The course will start in a class room setting. Topics cover: Proper use of scope, reading the sun and its effects on the target and scope, reading the wind and the effects on the shot, understanding shooting on an incline and decline and understanding the difference in a "click" vs. MOA. Will cover all the fundamentals for a proper shooting position and well as leaning how to properly use a bi-pod.
EQUIPMENT: Rifle, scope, base and rings (do not need to be together already), bi-pod or some type of forward rest, rear rest if desired, hearing protection, ground mat, bug & tick repellant, food and drink, clothing for weather, 60 rounds of quality ammo.
